The Naples industrial Chemistry Laboratory located in the Department of Chemical Sciences of University of Naples Federico II, founded in 1987 by prof. Elio Santacesaria is now headed by Prof. Martino Di Serio.
The fields of research are Industrial Chemistry (Catalysis and Kinetics) and Chemical Engineering (Chemical Reaction Engineering), more recently its main field of activity has been in biofuels production and the use of renewable resources as raw materials for industrial chemistry.
The groups is composed by three members of permanent staff (Prof. Martino Di Serio, Prof. Riccardo Tesser, Prof. Vincenzo Russo), 3 Tenure-Track Researchers (dr. Rosa Turco, dr. Rosa Vitiello ,dr. Francesco Taddeo) and by 7 PhD Students ( Maryam Hmoudah, Michele Emanuele Fortunato, Rosanna Paparo, Luca Mastroianni, Domenico Zannini, Federica Orabona, Emiliano Salucci) (see NICL-PhD Theses). Moreover, there are also a number of Students of Master and Bachelor degrees of Department of Chemical Sciences that are doing their Thesis with NICL group (see NICL-Theses)
The members of NICL teach in Chemical Sciences PhD school, Sciences and Technologies of Industrial Chemistry Master degree , Industrial Chemistry for Circular and Bio Economy Master degree, Chemical Sciences Master degree , Industrial Chemistry Bachelor degree .
