{"id":618,"date":"2021-11-18T00:32:57","date_gmt":"2021-11-17T22:32:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/?p=618"},"modified":"2022-03-31T19:13:38","modified_gmt":"2022-03-31T17:13:38","slug":"cardigan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/cardigan","title":{"rendered":"CARDIGAN (PRIN 2017)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PRIN 2017 \u2013 The project CARDIGAN is focused on the use of\u00a0 Cardoon (Cynara cardunculus L.) that is a dicotyledonous herb hailing from the Mediterranean area.\u00a0 In CARDIGAN project different parts of cardoon (seeds, leaves and roots) will be processed by enzymes, microbial whole-cell biocatalysts or environmentally friendly catalysts to obtain biopolymers, plasticizers and bioactive molecules for the development of innovative packaging materials. This multidisciplinary approach, where different technological expertise is combined, will enable a more efficient use of natural resources, reducing the overall environmental impact, according to the circular economy paradigm.<\/p>\n<p>Partners of the project are: Universit\u00e0 di Napoli Federico II, Universit\u00e0 di Milano Bicocca, Universit\u00e0 di Triestre, CNR.
