{"id":356,"date":"2016-05-10T11:12:47","date_gmt":"2016-05-10T09:12:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/?p=356"},"modified":"2020-11-12T17:50:21","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T15:50:21","slug":"research-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/research-projects","title":{"rendered":"Research projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Executive Programme Italia -South Korea 2019-2021<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-498 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/MAECI-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"181\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/MAECI-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/MAECI-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/MAECI-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/MAECI-220x220.png 220w, https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/MAECI.png 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 181px) 100vw, 181px\" \/>Within the framework of the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Italy and the Government of the Republic of Korea, signed in Rome on February 3, 1984, the Directorate General for Country Promotion (Economy, Culture and Science) &#8211; Unit IX &#8211; of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), and the International Cooperation Bureau of the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), launch a call for proposals for the 12th Executive Programme of Scientific and Technological Cooperation for the years 2019 &#8211; 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Naples Federico II (Prof. Martino Di Serio) &#8211; National Busan University (Prof. OK-Sang Jung) Project (<strong>MOF materials for the removal of emerging organic contaminants from waste water<\/strong>) has been selected for the financial support.<\/p>\n<h3>CARDIGAN<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-421 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/d33_0001-300x165.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"282\" height=\"155\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/d33_0001-300x165.jpg 300w, https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/d33_0001-150x82.jpg 150w, https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/d33_0001.jpg 417w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 282px) 100vw, 282px\" \/>NICL is active in National and International Research Projects.<\/p>\n<p>PRIN 2017 &#8211; The project CARDIGAN is focused on the use of\u00a0 Cardoon (Cynara cardunculus L.) that is a dicotyledonous herb hailing from the Mediterranean area\u00a0 In CARDIGAN project different parts of cardoon (seeds, leaves and roots) will be processed by enzymes, microbial whole-cell biocatalysts or environmentally friendly catalysts to obtain biopolymers, plasticizers and bioactive molecules for the development of innovative packaging materials. This multidisciplinary approach, where different technological expertise is combined, will enable a more efficient use of natural resources, reducing the overall environmental impact, according to the circular economy paradigm. The Principal Investigator of the Natonal Project is Prof. Martino Di Serio<\/p>\n<h3>CABIO<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-358\" src=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/cardo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"226\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/cardo.jpg 213w, https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/cardo-150x108.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 226px) 100vw, 226px\" \/>The CABIO project of NICL was financed by University of Naples Federico II (Finanziamento della Ricerca di Ateneo (FRA)) in 2016 (PI Prof. Riccardo Tesser)<\/p>\n<p>CArdoon seed oil-based industrial BIO-products (CABIO) Project deals with the use of Cardoon seeds oil as feedstock for chemicals production in alternative to petroleum. The research aims to the optimization of the epoxidation of Cardoon oil and in particular on the development of heterogeneous and structured catalysts for the Cardoon seeds oil epoxidation reaction.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>BIOPOLIS<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-360\" src=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Biochamp.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Biochamp.jpg 201w, https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Biochamp-150x123.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 201px) 100vw, 201px\" \/>NICL was partner of BIOPOLIS project (PON03PE_00107_01 &#8211; MIUR, PON R&amp;C 2007-2013 D. D. Prot.
