{"id":281,"date":"2019-05-10T10:39:49","date_gmt":"2019-05-10T10:39:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/?p=281"},"modified":"2021-02-18T23:35:03","modified_gmt":"2021-02-18T21:35:03","slug":"alkoxylation-reactions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/alkoxylation-reactions","title":{"rendered":"Alkoxylation Reactions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Kinetics<\/h3>\n<p>Nonionic surfactants are industrially produced by\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/alkoxilation-processes\/\">base-catalyzed reactions<\/a><\/b>\u00a0of\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/alkoxilation-processes-2\/\">hydrophobic compounds containing active hydrogen\u00a0<\/a><\/b>, such as alkylphenols, fatty alcohols, fatty acids, mercaptans, and alkylamines, with ethylene and\/or propylene oxide.\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/nicl.it\/new\/alkoxilation-processes-3\/\">Kinetic models<\/a><\/b>\u00a0for describing the ethoxylation of different organic hydrophobic compounds, in the presence of a KOH catalyst were developed [1-3].<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Ethoxylation and propoxylation reactions are often performed together or in alternative steps, to obtain surfactants with particular properties or random and block copolymers.
