Dr. Vincenzo Russo
Dr. Vincenzo Russo was born in Napoli (Italy), on the 2nd of May 1985. Since 2014, he is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Naples "Federico II" (Italy), working in the "Naples Industrial Chemistry Laboratory". He obtained his Master Degree in Industrial Chemistry (evaluation=110/110 cum laude) on the 23th of June 2010, and his PhD in Chemical Sciences in the period 2012-14, both at the University of Naples "Federico II". The PhD Thesis was entitled: "Kinetic and Catalytic Aspects in Propene Oxide Production" (Supervisor: Prof. Martino Di Serio, Prof. E. Santacesaria). His main scientific activities deal with: 1) Reaction and reactor modelling of multiphase systems; 2) Kinetic investigation of catalytic reactions; 3) Satety criteria for exothermic reactions; 4) Design and realization of lab-scale pilot plants; 5) Plant authomation and control. He is author of 18 papers appeared on international peer-reviewed Journals and 14 papers appeared on the Proceedings of Scientific Conferences. His Author ID in the Scopus database is: 37018701000. His scientific activities are carried out in collaboration with public and private partners such as: 1) Abo Akademi, Turku (FI); 2) Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven (NL); 3) Fraunhofer ICT-IMM, Mainz (D); 4) Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile Edile e Ambientale, Universita' degli Studi di Napoli Federico II Napoli (IT); 5) IRC - Istituto di Ricerche sulla Combustione, Napoli (IT); 6) CONSER S.p.A., Roma (IT). He took part to the international financed Project: EU-Seventh Framework Programme (Sustainable Energy Systems (2007-2013)) CP-IP 228853-2: "Combining Process Intensification-Driven Manufacture of Microstructured Reactors and Process Design Regarding to Industrial Dimensions and Environment- COPIRIDE".
