Dr. Rosa Turco

Dr. Rosa Turco was born in Aversa (Caserta, Italy), on May 5th, 1982. Since 2012, she is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II (Italy), working in the "Naples Industrial Chemistry Laboratory". She obtained her Master Degree in Industrial Chemistry (evaluation=110/110 cum laude) in the Academic Year (A.Y.) 2007-08, and her PhD in Chemical Sciences in the A.Y. 2010-11, both at the University of Naples Federico II. In particular, the title of her PhD Thesis was: "Industrial Catalytic Processes Intensification through the Use of Microreactors" (Supervisor: Prof. E. Santacesaria). Her main scientific activities deal with: 1) Heterogeneous catalysis for industrial processes; 2) Microreactors for multiphase reactions; 3) Selective oxidation reactions; 4) Bio-fuels and bio-lubricants production from renewable raw materials. She is author of 14 papers appeared on international peer-reviewed Journals, and 14 papers appeared on the Proceedings of Scientific Conferences. She is also author of 1 patent. Her Author ID in the Scopus database is: 35108248900. Her scientific activities are carried out in collaboration with public and private partners such as: 1) Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland 2) Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands 3) Fraunhofer ICT-IMM, Germany 4) Dipartimento di Ingegneria dei Materiali e della Produzione Industriale and 5) Dipartimento di Scienze del Suolo, della Pianta, dell'Ambiente e delle Produzioni Animali, Universita' degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Italy. She took part to the international financed Project: EU-Seventh Framework Programme (Sustainable Energy Systems (2007-2013)) CP-IP 228853-2: "Combining Process Intensification-Driven Manufacture of Microstructured Reactors and Process Design Regarding to Industrial Dimensions and Environment- COPIRIDE".
